Arch Linux Installation Flooded with ACPI Errors

Hello, I have been using arch for some time now. I have been able to install it with no problems. However, on my new machine, I am unable to use the installer at all. After booting into the installation, the console is flooded with ACPI errors. The console does display all of the usual bits of information when booting into arch, but ACPI errors very quickly force any useful information off the screen. The console is responsive. If I enter the reboot command, the machine does reboot. All console information is completely unreadable for the entire time the installer is being run. The only text that I am able to make out is that there are multiple different ACPI errors.

Re: Arch Linux Installation Flooded with ACPI Errors

Your system is spamming you with error messages to tell you something. What do the error messages say? Without that piece of critical information, there's not much advice that we can give. It could be a bug somewhere, but it may also be a hardware error.

After taking a slow motion video of the output I noticed the following errors seem to repeat (not necessarily in this order). Note that I typed these by hand and I can barely see the output as it is, so there may be small errors.

"""
ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resplve symbol [\_GPE._L6F.PGRT], (AE_NOT_FOUND) 2020925/psparse-529
ACPI Error: Aborting method \_GPE._L6F due to previous error (AE_NOT_FOUND) 2020925/psargs-330
ACPI Error: AE_NOT_FOUND, while evaluating GPE method [_L6F] (2020925/evgpe-511)
"""

They repeat over and over again

I'm not familiar with that error but several online discussions have suggested updating the BIOS to fix it. Check the manufacturer's website for BIOS images and update instructions.
