screensavers dont work? [solved]

I have tried both gnome and xscreensavers with no luck
they install fine but dont load after alloted time
gome one does nothign at all and xcreensaver will just give me a blank screen, when i test with xscreensaver it says process killed with init 11 or something, any ideas?

Installed from pacman
I have tried messing with locales and it made no difference

Try to launch the screensaver then do ALT+F1 to see what console error messages may be there. (ALT+F7 back to your X session)

I tried Alt F1 but it puts me back to desktop and does nothign more? no error messages or anything

oops sorry its CTRL+ALT+F1... should show you the console running behind X... that's where the screensaver messages go (at least it does on my system).

hmm, you're using the savage driver, right?

OpenGL on savage wasn't working 99% of all cases because somehow a deadlock occurs and hangs the openGL application. This has been fixed in the most recent xf86-video-savage package.
