Different virtual consoles, with plasma on one and i3 on another

Heya! I just found about being able to do 2 sessions at once essentially, using ctrl alt f2, f3, etc. Is it therefor possible to run kde plasma on session 1 as a main desktop env, and then i3-gaps on session 2, where i can do other things, and easily switch between them by doing crtl alt f2? Will this tank performance?
I'm asking weather or not I should even try it, if its worth it. Since I like a stack wm for general purposes, but I find it useful to have a tiling managers as well...

EDIT: Uhh not sessions, but virtual consoles, sorry about that aha.
