Only way I can make a window only appear on only one virtual desktop is if I create a window management -> window rule for it in system settings and force it to the desktop I want it to appear.
What's broken is the ability to just instantly flip back and forth the xwin sticky property by pressing the assigned titlebar button or using the dropdown menu from the window I'm trying to sticky to keep it exclusive to that desktop.
This started happening a few weeks ago and it's really annoying.
The button I use to sticky the window in my titlebar is always lit, signifying its presence on ALL the virtual desktops. When I press it to try to get it to stop showing on all desktops the button stays lit instead of going dark.
I don't even know where to go about unwinding this layer 6 stuff. I need a real hero to give me some suggestions as to where to look.
