[Solved] Plasma: What happened to knetattach?

'knetattach' is a wizard for adding ftp and samba connections, accessed by an icon in the remote: folder.

A few weeks ago I did a system upgrade and pacman asked me if I wanted to replace 'knetattach' with 'plasma-desktop'. I calmly hit Y, thinking that upstream had integrated the functionality into the larger package. However, the functionality is gone, both on my main machine and on a fresh virtual machine. I can't see that it has been replaced by anything.

Is there a new way of adding connections? If not, can I do it through a cl tool or file? I'm mainly interested in ftp.

Plasma version 5.20.5

The functionality has been integrated into plasma-desktop and the actual binary should still be present (... and be callable via knetattach) but indeed it seems that relevant integration in dolphin doesn't work like it used to, not sure whether that's just a lack of a rebuild or so.

It's an upstream bug that should be fixed in the next Dolphin update: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431626
Meanwhile it's indeed possible to run "knetattach" from a terminal or from krunner.

That's good news, thank you both.

I didn't realize it was a callable binary; should have checked that first. Let's consider this one solved.
