Messed up mkinitcpio by deleting plymouth package

Hello. I made a stupid mistake and need help fixing my system. I installed plymouth to add a splash screen and make the adjustments to the mkinitcpio file and generated the hooks. I decided I didn't love plymouth so I wanted to delete it from my system. I went into the mkinitpio.conf file and deleted the plymouth hook and then deleted the package with pacman before rerunning the mkinitcpio -P to fix it and rebooted. I cannot get back into my system. I am currently trying to chroot into the system and rerun mkinitcpio -P but it isn't working yet. I accidentally ran in once when I believe my partitions were mounted at the wrong point (I mounted the main point at / instead of /mnt?). Now I get a error trying to rerun mkinitcpio that says specified kernel does not exist: /boot/vmlinuz-linux-lts.

I need this fixed asap.
I have /boot partition, a swap, a root at either / or /mnt, and a /home partition.

I remade the mkinitcpio and I can only boot to the arch linux tty prompt but I don't know how to get back to my gnome desktop env. Also I don't know what tty is...

Only module that systemctl said that failed is a protonvpn autoconnect. I also don't know what display manager I am using or how to find that information out. Also I tried out systemctl status display-manager and I got a 'Unit display-manager.service could not be found'

I don't know how to delete these forum posts but I solved the issue just by installing and restarting gdm..... Maybe I should switch to a simpler distro.

It's not criticism, it's stating the bleeding obvious. It's also extremely unlikely it is an Arch install.

I understand there is low tolerance here for people who aren't versed, at the same time though: if you beat everyone with a stick it will just reinforce an elitist impression.
