Is it possible to give user applications root access using the sudo password instead of the root password? I am using KDE plasma 5 and I know that it can be done from the command prompt using kdesu but I would like to know if it is possible from the prompts that pop up when a program tries to do something that requires root.
Example prompt: https://i.postimg.cc/zBHJ5Y99/Root-Prompt.jpg

The prompt shows a policykit authentication prompt, you would need to configure that using policykit.
By sudo password you mean you have sudo configured to prompt for the users password instead of the root password when authenticating?

Yeah that is my configuration. Would you recommend that I configure it to ask for the root password instead?
