Bad system call (core dumped) xwallpaper --zoom "$bgloc"

I wanted to change my wallpaper using xwallpaper today and I could do it last night but when I tried to change my wallpaper again today, it just gives me this error now

/home/l1l1th/.local/bin/setbg: line 24: 18171 Bad system call         (core dumped) xwallpaper --zoom "$bgloc"

I have no idea why it's doing this now but I am guessing it might have to do with some packages I have upgraded today or yesterday, I am not sure. These are the packages I have upgraded yesterday:

Also when I run strace on the file, it gives me this error:

zsh: invalid system call (core dumped)  strace xwallpaper --zoom "test.png"

I do not know how to solve this problem since I had never had this before. Can someone help me out please? Thank you very much!

This is caused by a recent glibc update. You can downgrade glibc (not recommended), wait for the xwallpaper maintainer to make a fix, or replace xwallpaper by something else.

I opted for the third option. I have imagemagick installed anyway and use it now also as a wallpaper setter.

You can also compile xwallpaper yourself or just use the xwallpaper-git AUR package, as there is already a fix in the git repo available.
