Cant log in into XMonad

Thanks for reading.
I've just installed arch and now Im loging in and running xmonad, but when I type my user and password the screen turns black for a second and asks me to log in again. What info do you need to help me?

are you in the tty or actually in the window manager?

Hi. I'm not sure what you mean by log in through xmonad. Maybe you mean: log in and then automatically launch X and xmonad as a window manager? We could suppose xmonad tries to launch and fails. In that case, log in on another TTY (e.g.TTY2 after CTRL-ALT-F2), do

$ xmonad --recompile

and try again on TTY1. If it still doesn't work, look for the Xorg logs and check for errors (EE lines). They might be in

~/.local/share/xorg

You don't 'log in' to Xmonad, you launch it from an already logged into session.

Im in the window manager but stuck in the log in screen.

There is no login screen in Xmonad. Are you using a Display Manager? If so which one?

Which instructions did you follow to install this system?

Doesn't know what a WM is, but thinks Xmonad is a good candidate. Youtubers have a lot to answer for...
