Package "light" manpage and upstream README discrepancy [SOLVED]

At the bottom of the man page for the package "light" it says that in the non-privileged mode of operation the ~/.cache/light is used.
However, in the upstream README file it says that ~/.config/light is used.

Why is there a difference?

There is a difference because upstream did not update the manpage they deliver. You can file a bug report there:

Looks like the project is in need of a maintainer, but will file a bug report anyway.
Thanks.
