Laptop doesn't wake from suspend, but power button lights up

Whenever I suspend, my laptop doesn't turn on. If I try to go to tty, nothing happens. If I press caps lock nothing happens. I can't go to tty, either. The only signs that something has changed is that the power button and the function lock lights turn on. The backlight isn't on, and the journalctl doesn't have any logs after the suspend. I tried doing a few things: removing tlp, disabling tlp during sleep, removing tlp again, adding tlp back and changing lid close from suspend to hybrid sleep. Some of these solutions fixed it but they ended up breaking again. I suspect this is something to do with suspend or the firmware of the laptop.
