How to revert system fonts when installing Microsoft ones

Hello, I wanted to install the microsoft fonts to use them in ffmpeg subtitle embedding and for school work. Followed the steps lined in: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mi … _partition as I have access to a Windows partition.
In doing so, every font in my system changed to the Microsoft version. Although I think this is what people like when installing these fonts, I'd like to have them just to use them in LibreOffice and ffmpeg, and not in system wide text rendering.
Any help is appreciated.

I just want to sleep the sleep of ages, to know again the Great Rest, the perpetual bliss, to hear the songs the stars sing on the shores of the great sea.

Re: How to revert system fonts when installing Microsoft ones

Define a proper default ordering of the "main" families sans, sans-serif, monospace that should be applied for your user: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fo … font_order
