[Solved] Trouble with display managers after switching kernels

Hello, a few days ago I tried to switch to the linux-tkg-pds kernel found here: https://github.com/Frogging-Family/linux-tkg.git from the default Linux kernel

I'm not able to use display managers, i've tried using lightdm, sddm, and ly with no success.

Here's my xorg log: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/ … Xorg.0.log

Please help in any way you can. Thank You!

Re: [Solved] Trouble with display managers after switching kernels

Did you install the matching kernel headers and switch to the DKMS version of out of tree modules if you were not using them already?

I did install the headers, I don't understand how to do the last step though.

Re: [Solved] Trouble with display managers after switching kernels

For the nvidia module for instance you would uninstall the nvidia / nvidia-lts packaes and install nvidia-dkms.

Re: [Solved] Trouble with display managers after switching kernels

So after a little experimenting I figured out I didn't have a certain package installed preventing me from building the dkms modules. Thanks and sorry for not realizing.
