Hello everyone,
I wanted to switch from KDE Plasma to Awesome. I know that I can sort of 'merge' Awesome with Plasma but I'd rather keep it simple collected instead of having to deal with chaos. So do I remove plasma and kde-applications and install awesome? Should I uninstall plasma while I'm on Plasma KDE(Like I've already booted in the DE) or is that going to break anything? Should I open a terminal when I'm logging in using ctrl alt f2 and uninstall kde from there and then install awesome? Also, is keeping KDE applications going to break anything? I know these are stupid questions but hey, I am a Newbie.
In general, what do I have to do, in order to remove KDE Plasma, and install Awesome? Should I keep the kde-applications?

There's no need to remove anything. Install awesome following the wiki. That's it.

You can have both Plasma and Awesome you just switch in display manager what to use. There is also option to remove Plasma but since you are newbie and asking this question I would not recommend it to you, basically you will "break" your system then fix without Plasma.

Successfully installed awesome after a while lol. Had to reinstall to remove any kde-like apps from the system and then installed awesomewm. Been great so far

Why was a reinstall required?

Well it wasn't really a requirement. All I know is that, upon deletion, KDE leaves some things behind, so to get the feeling of "having a clean system", I reinstalled. That's all.
