Turn of laptop screen when external display is plugged in

Hello! I just installed Arch Linux yesterday (for the first time). I installed X.org and spectrwm, and setup a simple .xinitrc to launch it.
I'm using an ASUS VivoBook Flip 14_ASUS Flip TP412UA laptop.

So, my problem is that when I have an external display available (most of the time) I want to just close the lid and have the laptop screen turned off,
using the laptop with an external keyboard and mouse, like a desktop PC.

However, I don't know how to disable that screen. I don't need to change this on-the-fly, so it's enough to have something that runs when X is started etc.

Thanks in advance!

You may look at "xset" command. It can turn off the backlight of selected display via command line.
