Installing packages from testing while doing a new install

Is this possible while doing a ftp install?
I need to install kernel 2.6.18 coz 2.6.17 wont boot (jmicron etc )

use quickinst but edit it in a way so that it writes a testing repo to the temporary pacman.conf in /tmp. you should be able to find it with a grep.
