[SOLVED] Updating breaks my system

I can't determine where the problem is but it is confirmed that the pacman update broke my system as i had a snapshot from before it and restoring it works fine...
After the update when I login via my user account the xserver starts and then takes me back to login screen instead of xmonad...

Xorg starts and then stops normally. What exactly was updated? You'll generally need to recompile xmonad when haskell packages update: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xm … ter_update
