I have installed Arch on a surface pro 4 using the gnome desktop and both the latest kernel and the latest LTS kernel. The most annoying issue i have is the Wifi consistantly drops off and wont connect without a reboot. I had this problem on a Ubuntu based system and solved it by installing the Jakeaday kernel and tools. I have been trying to do that for Arch but have not found the process to do so. Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this issue.

Orphaned this package as I am no longer using this kernel. I've switched to the repository available here: https://github.com/linux-surface/linux- … repository and highly recommend using this for your Surface. They do a much better job maintaining the packages than I ever did
You could either use that repository directly (I have no idea how trustworthy those folks are), or you could review their PKGBUILDs or even build them yourself here: https://github.com/linux-surface/linux- … r/pkg/arch
EDIT:
Disclaimer... I don't have a Surface, nothing tested, all google-fu.
