Tried everything from https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Backlight
Also when I pick option acpi_backlight=native and put brightness all the way down on the booting the screen will go exactly for that level of brightness for a moment.
Also thing that work from that page it xset dpms force off

On kernel 5.11.1, I'm also unable to change brightness by writing to
/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness
Switching back to the 5.10 LTS kernel gives me back brightness controls.
A colleague suggested DPCD changes as a possible culprit. I've tried the fix suggested in the Wiki but no dice. Both
i915.enable_dpcd_backlight=1
and
=0
do nothing for me.

With at least kernel 5.11.4, the issue is gone for me.
