[SOLVED] OpenCL configuration on AMD KAVERI (APU)

I'm quite puzzled to be honest, so I've decided to ask on forum.

I've installed all needed packages (opencl-mesa, ocl-icd + clinfo).
Judging by clinfo everything is fine and should work(?):

And yet any program that uses OpenCL complains that I don't have OpenCL (for instance, Blender is saying "No compatible GPUs found for path tracing. Cycles will render on CPU" when I chose OpenCL in settings).

Am I missing something? Is there any way to test OpenCL further?

In case that matters in this case. I'm using amdgpu module, not radeon

Blender doesn't work well with opencl opensource drivers, the others may need higher opencl versions then the 1.1 provided by clover (opencl-mesa).

Try opencl-amd from aur .


Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
