I have been using Arch Linux (on my desktop) for several years now and none of my bluetooth headsets ever worked with Arch. Audio is always crackling or coming in pieces on bluetooth. It was the same for Pulseaudio and now Pipewire has come and I still can't get rid of crackling sound. As of today, I have tested and my current headset works fine in Ubuntu 20.04 that I have on my laptop.
Pipewire is rinning as per systemctl --user status pipewire.service:

P.S.: I have bluetooth speakers too and they work fine with bluetooth on Android mobile but same crackling sound on Arch Linux.
