Updated system can't login

Hi I updated system and rebooted and I have setup the configuration to autologin neither the user nor root password is accepted, I am sure the passwords is correct since I have been updating system with them. What is the protocol to solve a situation like that? Many thanks.

That makes no sense. Do you get auto login'd? If so, *where* do the passwords fail?
If not, *how* did you configure the autologin?

Please post your pacman log, so we can see what was updated from which version (there've been some pam related issues, but that's half a year ago: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 2#p1922862 )
You can access the system from a rescue.target (root shell, https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sy … _boot_into ) or offline (ie. the install iso or some live distro)
