encrypted btrfs installation?

hello, i am new to the forum and i have heard that btrfs is quite cool, is it possible to do an encrypted btrfs install?
if you did, how does it work for you?

Have a good read of the BTRFS wiki.
It does say there that btrfs doesn't have a built-in encryption but may happen in the future.
You can encrypt the partition before creating the filesystem.

Famous last words. Make sure to search for btrfs-related threads on these forums and look at the problems people are having. Then decide if it is really worth it.

You can safely run btrfs on top of an encrypted LUKS partition. I have for years on my laptop with no issues. Also running unencrypted RAID 1 btrfs on my server for years without issues. YMMV.
