[SOLVED] Wallpaper started changing every x min

Hi all,

I use XFCE for some time now and had a single dark wallpaper for all my monitors. Since 2-3 days the wallpaper started changing every x minutes for no reason, which is pretty annoying because the change distracts me and the wallpapers are not always dark (bad for my eyes...). I tried to change this behavior in the XFCE settings > Desktop, but the settings there have no effect.

I'm not sure if something is broken or something else has taken the control of the wallpaper management.

Any idea, how can I fix it?

Check the Desktop settings. Do not select the 'Change background' settings.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Cron

Or some daemon that should™ show up in your process list.

Though these things don't happen out of thin air - what did you do/change 2-3 days ago?

Re: [SOLVED] Wallpaper started changing every x min

Thanks and sorry guys!

I just found out I had installed Variety and forgotten about it. I just deactivated it now and setup a wallpaper in the XFCE settings. Now it's OK.
