XFS 'attr2' mount option

This is a very minor annoyance, but nonetheless I can't figure out how to fix it:

My system uses XFS for root and home; When I shut down, i get a warning message that 'attr2 mount option is deprecated';

# Static information about the filesystems.
# See fstab(5) for details.

# <file system> <dir> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>

# /dev/mapper/SystemRoot-root LABEL=root_fs
UUID=e4b578ed-8174-42a0-b6a1-9f30e2d39064  /     xfs     rw,lazytime,strictatime,inode64,noquota,discard                                                                               0 1

# /dev/nvme0n1p1 LABEL=BOOT_FS
UUID=1299-ED2A                             /boot vfat    rw,lazytime,strictatime,fmask=0022,dmask=0022,codepage=437,iocharset=iso8859-1,shortname=mixed,utf8,errors=remount-ro,discard 0 2

# /dev/mapper/SystemRoot-home LABEL=home_fs
UUID=2e7beb31-61c4-4a30-879c-d863e8c8eff9  /home xfs     rw,lazytime,strictatime,inode64,noquota,nodev,nosuid,discard                                                                  0 2

Yet, it still gets specified by default:

$ awk '$2 == "/" || $2 == "/home"' /proc/mounts
/dev/mapper/SystemRoot-root / xfs rw,lazytime,attr2,discard,inode64,logbufs=8,logbsize=32k,noquota 0 0
/dev/mapper/SystemRoot-home /home xfs rw,lazytime,nosuid,nodev,attr2,discard,inode64,logbufs=8,logbsize=32k,noquota 0 0

I can't figure out how to stop that one from getting specified; man 5 xfs says that it's defaulted to whatever it's set to on the filesystem and that if you mount with either of them it overrides it; if I mount it with noattr2 will that cause problems? Obviously i can just continue to ignore it, but if I can remove one line of log spam, i'm happy to.

Re: XFS 'attr2' mount option

It's a known (harmless) issue with remount: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=211605

Re: XFS 'attr2' mount option

Oh awesome! Yeah I figured it was harmless I just wondered if it was possible to remove it to stop the warning, and I am glad to know that there's a fix on the way.

I appreciate the reply, thanks!
