[SOLVED]nm-applet, pamac-tray icon, bluetooth-applet suddenly missing.

I think after updating my gtk-update-icon-cache, these icons are missing. Default xfce4 panel icons work fine. Like the pulseaudio-plugin, notes, clipboard manager. Only the applets I installed explicitly are missing. Though I can see them running in background. Only the tray icons are missing.

Seems as I have the same problem after latest few updates. (2 notebooks and one desktop PC)
No SVG icons in system tray. PNG, JPG icons are visible.
Difficult to use search keywords to troubleshoot problem as Google pollute search results with everything possbile.

Using: KDE Plasma.

Which tray-based panel plugin are you using? Xfce recently combined the Notification Area and Status-Notifier plugins into a new "Status Tray Plugin". Do you have that one added to your panel?

Also, anything in ~/.xsession-errors (if you have one) or the journal that might identify the problem?

You can also run xfce4-panel in debug mode:

xfce4-panel -q && PANEL_DEBUG=1 xfce4-panel

and it will spit out useful debug info.
