Congrats to you and the others who are becoming devs!

I'm still of the opinion that, in general, using abs is easy enough.  I upgraded amarok that way twice recently, and really it was no sweat other than I lost visualizations for about 2 weeks.

Re: Why not Azureus 2.5.0?

Hello,

I'm Simo and I'm the Arch developer who maintains azureus in extra. I just wanted to take this chance to thank you all for contacting me directly (seeing as my name and contact information are all on the Arch main page and on the azureus detail page), when I was unable to update it due to a heavy load of school work, full time school, as well as 15+ hours per week which I currently devote to a sport.

While I'm aware that the update itself takes all of five minutes, when I'm under a heavy workload, I prioritize, and updating arch packages is actually toward the lower end of that list. Broken packages are above that, and a broken AUR takes immediate precedence (yeah, I'm one of the guys that keeps that beast running, and usually the one doing hot fixes). However, when I receive extra reminders, let's say in the form of e-mail or perhaps someone pinging me on IRC, or heck, even a forum PM, I do try to pay more attention to things, since I know that someone out there has special interest in it being prioritized higher. Don't get me wrong, an out of date flag means it's definitely on my list, but it may get preempted pretty easily. And when I say remind me, I don't mean spam me the next day, but seriously, if it's been a while, I don't mind a reminder or two, and I hardly have the time to scan the forums for threads relating to my specific packages... the only reason I noticed this one is because part of it was split to the dust bin.

In any case, I just wanted to take one more opporitunity to thank all of you for taking the five seconds out of *your* day to directly send me a few words worth of reminder.
