So i've installed Arch Linux with xfce and Xmonad, i am liking xmonad so much, after two weeks of using vanilla arch, i haven't updated the system with sudo pacman -Syu, so after 6 to 7 days of waiting i've updated the system, now i can login to my xfce session but can't login to xmonad, as soon as i enter password and hit enter i see a black screen with a cursor at the top and thrown back again to the login screen(i'm using lightdm), i try to login several times, seen a youtube video and it says check the permision of .Xauthority file and it's set to users not root so that looks good but i'm stuck, i'm noob so please help me! i will provide the output if asked!

Check your journal/xorg log/.xession-errors chances you need to recompile xmonad due to haskell updates: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xm … ter_update

Not quite sure what the intention behind that last post is, but if you consider this [SOLVED] please mark it as such by editing the title in your first post.
