Xorg Core Dumps - black screen crashes several times per day

For the last 2 days I've been encountering several blackscreen crashes. The stacktrace is always similar. Can anybody give me a hint to what I can do to fix it?

Re: Xorg Core Dumps - black screen crashes several times per day

Does the stacktrace mean it is trying to add a new screen? I haven't changed my screen configuration before the crash. I'm always using the same setup with my laptop on the left and an external HDMI screen on the right side.

Re: Xorg Core Dumps - black screen crashes several times per day

Hi, I've been having a similar problem.  First let me start by saying I know I'm running manjaro smile...  Just trying to spread out a bit since this seems to be such a complicated issue.  Also my machine is a desktop pc, not a laptop, but following up here because I found the thread in search and it seems relevant.

Basically I have no idea what's going on, but Xorg, lightdm, xfsettingsd and xfce4-session are dumping core sometimes multiple times per day. (seems random but I know nothing is ever random if you know where to look, but I don't know where to look lol).  @batzee, have you noticed anything else crashing other than xorg?

Also it doesn't appear to be happening when I'm using the computer, I only notice it when I log back into the computer (usually in mornings and notice all my applications on the desktop have been closed) or sometimes I'll be logged in with nomachine on another screen (not using it, just maintaining the connection) and the connection will randomly break as a result of the xorg crash.

This computer is off-site so I don't have physical access to the machine.  Everything is done remotely (using nomachine).  Honestly the system is usable and always starts back up after the crash, the problem is that I have some virtual machines running which appear to be improperly shut down at each xorg crash, also every running program I have on the desktop is shut down and I have to restart what I was doing on that computer which is highly frustrating.

Anyway, I'll post some logs here but again, I really don't know where to look.  Also not sure if I should be posting this information to the public so if you guys see anything that shouldn't be here please let me know so I can edit the personal content.
