Installed GNOME DE With No Terminal

I recently installed the GNOME DE on my Arch Linux system for experimentation purposes and because at some point I will quite likely want to use or tinker with a desktop environment. I also used command

systemctl enable gdm.service

and now when I boot my system it goes directly into the GNOME desktop environment with almost nothing installed (except firefox). There is no terminal program and I am not sure how to use CLI from a basic install of the GNOME DE.

I am wondering how to make it so that the system does not boot directly into the DE/how to

systemctl disable gdm.service

if I seemingly do not have access to the CLI. How can I use CLI from inside GNOME DE?

Use control+alt+fn+f2 to get to the tty
