[SOLVED] KDE's konsole hangs when splitting in both directions

When trying to split KDE's konsole in both Top/Bottom and Left/Right it hangs. It produces the following error.

qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 8 (BadMatch), sequence: 4787, resource id: 182452273, major code: 130 (Unknown), minor code: 3

Does anyone else face the same issue? yakuake splits just fine.

Update:

A workaround is to use --notransparency option. It seems to address the issue.
