Lightweight PDF Reader - your suggestion

Hello, I read PDFs a lot on my PC and am currently using Okular for that. However, I like to keep things lightweight and there are many functions in Okular that I never use. I only read PDFs, I never edit them. That's why I'm trying to make a change to another reader. But none of other more lightweight alternatives I've tried have certain functions I'm looking for. These are the functions I want:

- Returns to the page where I left off when closing the reader
- Supports a dark background
- Puts pages below one another, in other words doesn't jump from one page to another
- Has the zoom function and saves the value of it when I close the document

Some programs I've tried:
- Evince ( only white background )
- mupdf ( doesn't return to the page )

If you know such a program, please let me know. That would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Re: Lightweight PDF Reader - your suggestion

llpp should do everything, inverting the colors works with -I (minus, then capital i )
It doesn't have a wayland mode, though.

Wrong, Evince can do this, it's called night mode in the menu.

Night Mode inverts the colors, by background I meant the unused space to the left and right side of the document

That depends on the GTK theme and/or whether the theme supports dark mode (i.e. respects the `gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme` option).

I would try zathura. Zathura can use multiple backends for pdf rendering. It can use the mupdf backend as well as the poppler backend. Zathura also supports djvu and comic books. It supports inversion.
