I was playing ESO from Steam with proton successfully. I reinstalled after upgrading my nvme.
Steam installed the game and it launches. But after launch, something called ZeniMax online tries to install and complains that it needs 20GB free space and that I only have3GB free in the installation directory (I have 1.57TB free).
Like I said, this played before; it is the reinstall giving me problems. Anyone else encounter this?

Same issue here with Solus Budgie. Says I don't have enough space... I'm installing on a 2TB SSD, also got 1.5TB free of space.

So, I ended up installing ESO to my home folder(default Steam Library) with Proton version 4.11-13. After that, I was able to run the game with the default Proton Experimental version.
When I tried to install it to my second Steam Library on my other SSD it gave me the message the installation path wasn't writable. Everything was set to read/write/execute, so not sure why that wasn't working.
Also, I'm not able to move the game files to my second Steam Library, Steam simply doesn't give me the option to do this. Might have to try it manually...

Was able to manually move the installation to my second Steam Library.
I just had to put the game files in the right place of my second Steam Library and reinstall the game again to my second Steam Library. It automatically checked the game files and fixed the installation.

True, I have a Lutris configured installation as well, but I've discovered that Proton works a lot better. Getting way more fps.
