Routing Problems with Minecraft Java

Hello Everyone,

i played the last few Years with my Girlfriend Minecraft, she uses a Win10 Pc, i use arch linux. We share the same Mojang account. Had never issues.

Few Days ago i had to switch my default route for my work. Since them i cant join her Game.

Im a Network newbie so here my Question:

I have a Fritzbox 7530 192.168.178.1
default settings, we are both in 192.168.178.X/24 Network with DHCP.

my ip a s and ip r s output:

wlp59s0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UP group default qlen 1000
    link/ether  brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
inet 192.168.178.31/24 brd 192.168.178.255 scope global dynamic noprefixroute wlp59s0

default via 192.168.178.1 dev wlp59s0 proto dhcp src 192.168.178.31 metric 3004
192.168.178.0/24 dev wlp59s0 proto dhcp scope link src 192.168.178.31 metric 3004

I see ingame her Game and get a
"io.netty.channel.connecttimeoutexception connection timed out" Error when i want to join.

Can anyone pls help and explain what i have to do? smile

What was the routing table before and why did you change the default route instead of a subnet?
Also the routing looks pretty standard, so…? Do you mean you altered the routing table in the router?
Can you ping/nmap the other machine?
