I have a problem...
Set up arch on a laptop with lvm on luks, everything worked fine.
Now I wanted to activate hibernate but made a mistake in the etc/default/grub, now it Boots into an emergency shell.
Im about to panic, took me months to get the system to where it was now. Can I change the bootloader back, how can I unlock the encrypted container?
Thx a million for the help

You could boot from the install disk/CD, then mount the partitions in the live system and chroot into the installed system (akin as to how you would during the installation). That should allow you to fix your mistake and generate a new, working grub.cfg.

That was it, I actually made that working with your suggestion. If that install would have been gone I would have slapped Windows back on.
Thanks a lot!

It's a good thing you 'salvaged' your install then ![]()
If your issue is solved, you can edit your first post and append something like "[SOLVED]" to it, so that it's clear your issue got solved.
