HP printer shifted when use "copies"

Hi all!

In this week I changed my old printer (HP P1102 ) to new (HP M15w).

I have installed new drivers etc. and print OK if I only print one page. When I use 'copies' i.e 2 copies or 10 copies no matter how many, output is shifted. First page print OK but after every page is shifted. I tried everything and I can't find anything to solve this problem. I played with option in CUPS and libreoffice and nothing change.

My old printer was fine.

Thanks for feedback!

Re: HP printer shifted when use "copies"

What printer? What driver?

I installed vm windows and prints okay.

Re: HP printer shifted when use "copies"

a) please elaborate on "shifted"
b) is this strictly limited to copies or are single copies of multi-page documents affected as well?
c) is this limited to libreoffice or does it also happen w/

lp -d <printer_name_here> -n 2 /path/to/some.pdf # printer names are also listed in /etc/printcap

?

Re: HP printer shifted when use "copies"

a) on portrait mode add "enter" and on landscape mode add 1-2 "spaces"

b) I create for test 2 pages file and make print 3 copy ( so 6 pages ).. only second page was shifted.
but for one page file I make 3 copy and first is normal and rest is shifted.

c) it' not limited to libreoffice. I tried from browser and with your command and same problem.

As I wrote upper, I install VM Win 10 on my arch and print everything ok. So maybe it's linux driver issue or cups?

Re: HP printer shifted when use "copies"

Don't do that.
https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … no#bumping

If nobody replies that usually just means that nobody has something to say on the topic.
The only thing I could suggest was to replace hplip w/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/foo2zjs-nightly/ and see whether the same issue occurs.

Re: HP printer shifted when use "copies"

That's not a different distro but an alternative driver for HP printers (notably one that goes w/o the stupid binary plugin)
