[SOLVED]MS Office 2010 on Wine does not open files on doubleclick

See subject, recently MS Office 2010 which ran well on Arch with Wine is not opening Office files on doubleclick anymore. The mouse cursor turns into the spinning ball indicating it is working, then nothing happens.

The office suite is working fine when I navigate to the file within the app.

Any ideas what to look for?

Thanks for that. While I do not have the same issues it made me downgrade Wine (6.5-2 => 6.4-1) and now it works again.

So there is some issue with newer versions, however I am not clear how to resolve this and where, i.e. is it to be solved within the wine prefix, the desktop environment...

Try the solution described in the thread i pointed you within the wine prefix (copy start.exe)

Try the solution described in the thread i pointed you within the wine prefix (copy start.exe)

I kind of managed to miss that. Solved!
