[SOLVED] KeePass interface slightly broken

So with Arch running - almost - flawlessly again, there is one thing I am currently not able of resolving:

Since couple of weeks the keepass interface is kind of broken. Parts of the window that used to be of a greyish-beige quality are now pitch black. While the tool seems to work fine otherwise, it makes parts of the interface unreadable.

I downgraded the dependencies (that have been updated this year) and keepass itself, nothing.

Here are the dependencies:

desktop-file-utils
gtk-update-icon-cache
mono
shared-mime-info
xdg-utils

Could it be kernel related? I switched from the common arch kernel to the lts one not too long ago.

Re: [SOLVED] KeePass interface slightly broken

as it goes, now that I posted I had another look and found hints that it might be the mono package, so I downgraded it from 6.12.0.107-1 to 6.8.0.123-1 from the package archive and now it works.

Even though the mono package was last updated 2020-12-24 I dont recall keepass being brocken that long, anyways.

Anything in the terminal on starting?  FWIW general go to candidate for weird issues, if you happen to have xf86-video-intel setup can you try without (... and without any configs explicitly referencing it)

Edit: Ah glad to hear, but I can't reproduce this so there might really be some other issue at play

Thanks for your feedback, seems we were posting at the same time. Please see my post above, it was the mono package as downgrading this resolved it. I might still keep it mono on the latest version, at least I know where the problems coming from and hope the next mono update will resolve it.

The only problem on startup of keepass from the console would be

(mono:5495): Gtk-WARNING **: 11:17:33.547: No Theme Engine could be found in module path »murrine«

this comes with BOTH version of mono, so both broken and working
