Battery life dropped drastically after updates

Hi, as per the title, after latest updates my battery went from lasting ~10 hours to ~2 hours.

I have an Asus Zenboox UX533 laptop. I am using TLP to manage my power settings and I didn't touch its settings in a while.

I don't know which update in particular caused the issue, it seems that the only packages that could have had a saying in this are

[2021-04-02T13:07:12+0200] [ALPM] upgraded linux (5.11.10.arch1-1 -> 5.11.11.arch1-1)
[2021-04-02T13:07:12+0200] [ALPM] upgraded acpi_call (1.2.1-40 -> 1.2.1-41)

But of course I'm not sure of it.

Is someone having the same issue?
Also, anyone has any suggestion on what to look for?

Re: Battery life dropped drastically after updates

I'd start w/ powertop to see what draws the power and also check the CPU frequency since it likely just never rests.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/CP … cy_scaling

Then  you could oc. just install the lts kernel to see whether the kernel udpate is the cause.
