[SOLVED]Pulseaudio shows sound card as (unavailable)(unplugged)

Greetings everyone,
I have been trying to set up audio on my laptop for a few days now but sound is not working, pavucontrol shows my HDMI output as (unplugged)(unavailable).I checked around on forums and tried different solutions to the problem half of which I didn't understand but none of them worked .If anyone of you can tell me what might be going wrong and how can I fix it, it would be really helpful.

Chances are this is a sof-firmware and alsa-ucm-conf card, install those respectively check the outputs of

sudo dmesg | grep sof

Thanks a lot this solved it. Searching about the firmware I found that you answered this same question before sorry I didn't come across it while I was looking for the solution...thanks again.
