System freezes randomly

I recently got into arch and I've been getting random freezes, seemingly untied to using any program. It usually happens when I'm doing random stuff, last time it happened I was just in a browser. Can happen in a few hours, or maybe in 24, maybe in 2 days, depends. Last night the computer was on all night while I was sleeping, only to freeze an hour into me using it in the morning. I tried getting some logs and finding out where the problem lies. I need some advice where to look for the cause of this, since kernel reports nothing.

Error description

System freezes randomly, does not respond to anything, can't change tty at all. Everything is frozen and the only way out is to pull the plug.
Recent changes I've done to the system are updating my nvidia driver, and installed wine, which did have some problems since some lib32 dependencies were conflicting with nvidia installed ones, so some files were forcefully overwritten. Not the best thing to do but I kind of doubt such absolute freezes would happen because of that, X might crash or something, but the rest of the system should respond, right?
When I think about it, similar thing happened a few times when I ran Manjaro before, but it was infrequent enough not to incite me to fix it. Now I'm getting really annoyed since it happens at the most unfortunate times.

What I've tried so far

I've checked the kernel logs, and it has absolutely nothing around that timestamp. I made sure to note the exact time the last time it happened, to the second. But nothing was to be found logged even near to that moment in journalctl. Nevertheless, kernel logs are below.
I've also seen suggestions to update the microcode, which I did, and it still froze on me.
Last time it happened the system was having it easy, just a few tabs open, that's it. So even though i don't have swap currently, it shouldn't be because it's running out of memory.

Logs

This is a journalctl -b-1. The freeze happened at 06:12, but the logs end way before that. journalctl

Re: System freezes randomly

I had trouble with my CPU entering deeper power saving c-states. My system froze randomly as you described. Here is a thread on how to limit those c-states: https://gist.github.com/wmealing/2dd2b543c4d3cff6cab7

Re: System freezes randomly

Thanks, that just could be it, I'll see if it happens again. I disabled the C6 state. Did it use to happen to you only when the PC was idle or it was freezing mid work too?

Re: System freezes randomly

My system did not freeze under load. It mostly wasn't responding, when I left it running over night and tried to use it the next morning. But often enough it just froze in the middle of programming or reading stuff on the web.

Re: System freezes randomly

Have you hibernate or sleep machine before it happen?

Re: System freezes randomly

Sometimes the system was in sleep mode a few hours before the freeze, but my observation was, that sleep and hibernate was unrelated to this issue. It did also freeze, when freshly rebooted.
The issue stopped after I disabled the C6 state.

Re: System freezes randomly

So far so good. I disabled the C6 state and it hasn't happened since. To anyone with a similar issue and a Ryzen CPU, that is probably it.
