In previous Gnome versions, if you moved windows next to each other they would be slightly sticky so you could accurately place them, but this function seems to be disabled in 40. Was this built-in or is is an issue with one of my outdated extensions - Dash to Dock or Activities Configurator? In any case, is there a way to re-enable the stickiness?

Aligning windows manually with other windows has become less important
since the advent of tiling. This decreases the usefulness of edge
resistance, which in fact many users perceive as lag nowadays.Account for that by limiting resistance to screen and monitor edges by
default, and only include windows when the control key is pressed.
