Kernel Panic on boot (2.6.18)

Hey,
i've just updated to kernel 2.6.18 and if i try to boot now, i get a kernel panic.

First it is "Failed To Parse block device name for "dev/sda1".
When i try to boot with the kernel parameter "rootfstype=ext3"
i get the kernel panic "not syncing: Attempted To kill init"

I hope you can figure something out to help me smile

Re: Kernel Panic on boot (2.6.18)

kernel /boot/vmlinuz26.arch root=/dev/sda1 vga=795 ro
the default kernel is vmlinuz26 without .arch
