Firefox 88.0 is having compositing issues with Kwin

Ever since FF got updated to 88.0, it has a problems with window redrawing on x11 (with KWin on AMD rx580 and mesa driver). Sometimes when opening the about window, the content doesn't get drawn until I minimize and restore it again. In general, the x11 window rendering got all flickery and unstable.
But when some applications suspend compositing (most notably in games like CS:GO or Valheim, but I've also seen reports from mpv), it almost always stops redrawing the window. It seems like the Firefox underneath is still working properly, just that the window shows the last rendered surface and nothing more without any response. Minimizing and restoring doesn't help. Restarting FF helps.
I've tried downgrading to FF87 and it seems ok.
Has anyone experienced the same issue and know more details or found a workaround/solution?

Which graphics card and driver? If you're using xf86-video-intel remove and try without it, don't forget to remove configs if you created them.

Not sure if it is the same bug : some users (include me) noticed random display corruption since the update of mesa few days ago with some old AMD cards (I have a radeon HD4650 PCIe).
The bug doesn't occur often.

Bug can be sometimes triggered when you open youtube with firefox, if at the same time you open a software (like Konsole) then you may see part of the youtube site on the tabs of Konsole.

Just updated to 89 and the issue still persists. Has anyone else encountered the same issue?
