I have Dell vostro 1510 laptop and the kernel does not recognize the touchpad. touchpad buttons also do not work. the keyboard works.
the problem gets fixed only when I downgrade the kernel to 5.9.2
5.10.x and 5.11.x kernels do not recognize the touchpad. even the LTS kernel has the same issue.
I tried reinstalling libinput, downgrading libinput, using synaptics, relading i2c_hid module, reloading psmouse but it doesn't fix the issue. the problem is the kernel and it only gets fixed if I downgrade the kernel
