It could be a phantom output issue (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/No … tput_issue).

I had a similar issue on Gnome with Wayland using nouveau driver (optimus setup), that was fixed by disabling the phantom output.

Not working for me.
I'm using AMDGPU by the way.

It never happens on KDE Plasma5
