Strange window theme for XFCE settings window

Hello,

I installed XFCE (using lightdm as the login manager) and removed GNOME from my machine. XFCE is working fine, but I am not sure why the "Settings" window header is still GNOMEish. I have tried changing the theme, all windows change except that. Restarting the machine has not helped in fixing this. I have posted a screen shot here: https://pasteboard.co/JZBCqcn.png

Please help. Thank you.

What program is that window?  It's apparently using client side decorations which suggests it may not actually be an xfce program, but rather part of gnome.

Re: Strange window theme for XFCE settings window

I can see this for the "Settings" window and all other windows that can be opened from the settings panel, for e.g. "Appearance", "Mouse and Touchpad", "Keyboard" etc. Even the "Sensor Viewer" has this problem (screenshot: https://pasteboard.co/JZBVHgW.png ) . But things are fine with Firefox, Thunar, Mousepad etc.

Re: Strange window theme for XFCE settings window

Xfce 4.16 has implemented Client Side Decorations for its settings windows. More information here.

Note that you can install libxfce4ui-nocsd from the AUR to replace the upstream libxfce4ui code that will remove all CSD decorations from Xfce.

Bug report and upstream discussions on this controversial decision are located here.

Re: Strange window theme for XFCE settings window

Install gtk3-classic with AUR, or if you don't want to build it, add the chaotic-aur repo.
I use gtk3-classic myself, and in my case the windows look like this.
