[Solved] Question about self-upgrading application

Some applications, telegram-desktop in my particular case, are able to upgrade themselves, but after they have done it, a 'pacman -Qs' inquiry knows the upgraded version. How does this work?

I originally installed telegram-desktop from the pacman Community repos, but at least three times since then, when I open the application, it informs me that it has been upgraded. This seems bouth outside the normal flow of pacman things and, to be honest, a little creepy.

Re: [Solved] Question about self-upgrading application

It didn't say it updated itself. You updated it as part of a system update.

Re: [Solved] Question about self-upgrading application

I apologize, you are correct. I failed to notice that pacman was upgrading it, because I'm so intent on watching the kernel and nvidia upgrades.

Thank you.
