K3B problem on AMD64 [solved]

Hi!

I recently switched from arch32 to arch64 and found a little problem while trying to burn a DVD.
Whenever I want to burn my data to an DVD growisofs drops the following error:

:-( unable to anonymously mmap 33554432: Resource temporarily unavailable

I don't know what to do to get k3b to burn my dvd. So can anyone help me with this???

Hi,

I have had this in the past as well.  There is a setting under advanced that fixes this.  It is the buffer size.  I don't have k3b where I am now, so I cannot check the exact location.  You can set this as a normal user, no need to be root.  Change it to be considerably larger than the default (16?).  Don't go over 64.

If that does not work, make sure your temp file directory is not on a ramfs and the permissions to the device are ok.

The resolution is to set the buffer size not to be detected automatically. Set it manually to the same value.
