When I try to run powertop, the following is printed:
modprobe cpufreq_stats failedFailed to mount debugfs!
exiting...
My kernel is: 5.10.6.a-1-hardened
journalctl -xe has no mention of powertop what so ever.
Running modprobe cpufreq_stats returns the following:
modprobe: FATAL: Module cpufreq_stats not found in directory /lib/modules/5.10.6.a-1-hardened
/proc/config.gz has the following for CONFIG_CPU_FREQ:
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_ATTR_SET=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_COMMON=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_STAT=y
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_PERFORMANCE is not set
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_POWERSAVE is not set
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_USERSPACE is not set
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_SCHEDUTIL=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_PERFORMANCE=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_POWERSAVE=m
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_USERSPACE=m
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_ONDEMAND=m
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_CONSERVATIVE=m
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_SCHEDUTIL=y
Google turns up nothing, and the powertop wiki page isn't any help either.
